"SEEING RED" ................................RED 23

KAREN KANE LAUNCHES NEW CONTEMPORARY DIVISION, RED 23

Following the success of her contemporary label, Fifteen-Twenty, the designer eyes fall 2011 for new casual knit division

Kane explains her inspiration for Red 23: “I’ve always loved the contemporary space and Fifteen-Twenty was an opportunity to try something new. We designed it for the girl who wants a pretty top for a date or dinner out with friends. After hearing that customers wanted some casual pieces to wear on weekends or around home, we developed the idea for Red 23. We’re very excited about our first collection – it’s full of calm, neutral tones that can be worn with such ease and versatility.”

Red 23 will be sold in specialty stores nationwide. Fifteen-Twenty is currently sold at Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus CUSP, and specialty stores across the United States. Like Fifteen-Twenty, Red 23 is also represented by West Bank Clothing in Los Angeles at the New Mart and in Dallas at Fig.

Since founding her company in 1979, Kane has based her operations out of Los Angeles. Today, Karen Kane, Inc. is based out of a 130,000 square foot facility in Vernon. The company has over 160 employees, with showrooms located in New York, Dallas, and Downtown Los Angeles. Karen Kane continues to be sold at major department stores such as Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Belk, Dillard’s, Bon Ton, Lord & Taylor, and specialty stores nationwide.
